I feel like the title of her book is also interesting because she is describing so many things in one. I can understand with all that she talks about in regards to slavery, colonialism, being african, being a woman, communities, families and more things that just inevitable effect individuals on a daily basis. I truly enjoyed the empty spaces that surrounded her single phrases as if she wanted readers to just pause to stop and wonder about what she said or feel free to comment or question or perhaps she was just at lost of words.

I feel like she is so wise at times that she doesn’t have to say much but five lines to get her point across. Overall, after reading this book, I can say that Ama Ata Aidoo is definitely a unique writer. Now I understand why Professor Walker always accidently calls the book, “My Sister Killjoy” when it’s sister “Our Sisiter Killjoy, because she probably felt a close connection with her, she just decided to change the “ours” to “my”.
